
We make decisions constantly. Many of them are put on "autopilot" so that we are not consciously aware of them unless we choose to pay attention. This may be a big help in day-to-day living, but it behooves us to stop and think about our decisions to be sure we make the best choices. This lesson brings to mind important aspects of good decision-making that draws us to a higher purpose.

The Church isn’t built on age, talent, or status—it’s built on family. In this sermon, we explore Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 5:1–2, showing how the Church is meant to reflect the beauty of spiritual family across generations. Young or old, each person has a God-given role—not because of what they do, but because of who they are in Christ. True strength in the Church comes when we honor one another as fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters, building a community where everyone belongs.

Diversity is an important idea in today's world, and it is also an important Bible topic. The modern ideas about diversity can sometimes go too far in the eyes of some while others demand that there be no restrictions of any kind. Much of that debate relates to the way we tend to categorize people. The Bible has some important things to say about diversity, especially in the church.

Paul warned Timothy and others about an apostasy the Holy Spirit revealed to him. This was something that would have a far-reaching effect on the church. Looking at history we can see what happened and the reason it was so successful. The effects are still present in our society today and will continue until the return of Jesus. Reading the New Testament, we can easily see that God wants His church to live in unity. But unity in the Bible is not simply a decision to get along, nor is it a state of being to achieve. God has already created that kind of unity. It is up to us to maintain that, but that only comes through activity. Unity is not passive but active. When the body of Christ is working together, that is the unity God expects of His people.
